The third annual CEFPI Georgia Chapter Summer Conference was a tremendous success and it's all thanks to you, our sponsors, attendees and exhibitors.
This year we saw a huge jump in our attendance. Over 230 attendees for 2009 with nearly 100 facilities representatives from almost 1/3 of the systems in the state of Georgia! This is thanks in large part to our ability to offer the conference to school facilities representatives at no cost, made possible by the generous and overwhelming support of our annual sponsors. We’ve received great feedback about the venue, sessions, speakers and overall conference experience.
Many of you requested copies of the presentations from the conference. They are posted below for your reference.
We will be expanding the exhibit area next year to provide more than adequate space for all exhibitors to bring large, pop-up booths and will give away door prizes and provide refreshment breaks in the exhibit hall to increase time with the exhibitors.
For 2010, we’ve set a lofty goal of 150 school facilities personnel from ½ the systems in the state for the 2010 conference. The only way we can meet that goal is to maintain the support of our industry partners through annual sponsorships and conference participation. We recognize the challenges our industry is facing in this economic climate and anticipate a similar environment next year. Our goal is to offer the conference free to the school representatives again and we can only do that if we have the industry support.
